I made an important decision yesterday regarding my kitchen and its gadgets. You see, last night my sister made everyone a delicious, healthy dinner, and it was all done in a crock pot with tons and tons of leftovers. I longingly stared at the crock pot and thought of all the wonderful, easy meals I could be doing for myself, being as I try to prepare a few of them during the week in mass amounts.
So my fiancee and I went out and bought one. I was expecting to drop 50 bucks on this purchase, but at WalMart they're selling some that appear completely functional (considering my sister has the very same one) for 25 bucks. And I can afford that. Of course, it's every married couple's dream to have about four or five crock pots gifted to them at their wedding reception, but this will be just one more thing we're not registering for, and one more thing of which we won't need an additional after the wedding day.
But the funny thing is we're entertaining friends on Saturday and Monday, and I just realized that we can use the crock pot for the main dishes we were already planning to prepare. How awesome is that!
