A Shopping Nightmare

I've never been one to have a meal plan, but I put one together yesterday consisting of good, natural food and decided to go find these foods today.

And I will tell you that if you're planning on finding anything organic (like yogurt), you'll have one heck of a time finding it at WalMart. Sure, there was plenty of yogurts promoting weightloss, but the program I'm following suggests organic. They sold one type in a large tub in one flavor, so it was all I could buy.

Also, one of the recipes of the meal plan calls for coconut milk. I had an entire coversation with my mom on my cell phone as I pushed my cart around on the hunt for coconut milk. About 5 minutes after the call was over, I eventually found it near the peanut butter, jelly, mustards, and other condiments (of course!).

Then I came home and threw away mostly everything in my fridge. Not because it was unhealthy, but because it was expired and growing things on it. The freezer was just as bad. I thought I wouldn't have to buy frozen chicken because I already had some, but the two partial bags of freezer-burnt poultry proved to be rather undesirable.

Tomorrow I plan on preparing an entire week of meals (which really isn't a lot of work), and then i'll be set.
